TSTMKRT (Test Market) was created on a Greyhound bus between Cleveland, Ohio and Las Vegas, NV. Having only one actor to work with and no money for a set or props, I decided to create everything with sound effects. Since there was no one to run the sound, I had to cut and paste everything into a cassette tape and pray that my timing was so good that everything would work. The first performance was held in a junkyard on the edge of Las Vegas, near the infamous Sam's Town. I hit play on a Radio Shack tape deck aimed at a microphone.

For 20 years I've been tinkering with and improving TSTMRKT with better sound quality, greater skill, and the addition of film loops. Everything is still married to the unforgiving soundtrack and risk is still at the heart of what we do. Part art, part comedy, and part stunt. TSTMRKT has performed in warehouses, clubs, theaters, and bars across the country.
